My old factory battery was no longer holding a charge for more than a 1/2 hr. I was a bit skeptical to buy a NON-factory HP Pavilion dv6500 Battery but for the price was willing to give it a try. I was not disappointed, I am just not sure why I waited so long to do this.
This HP COMPAQ nx7400 Battery worked great for my laptop. The battery fit nicely with no issues. This battery lasts about 2 hours as compared to about 3 hours with the OEM battery, but for the price I can't complain.
Bought this about 3 months ago and have been using it on a regular basis. Battery life so far has been great. It didn't fit our R51 as well as the original IBM ThinkPad R51 Battery but that doesn't hurt its functionality.
This Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 Battery is great. When you're stuck with a proprietary battery, they can end up being so expensive that a new laptop starts to seem like a reasonable expenditure. In this case, though, the 3rd party solution has worked great, and I'm back to watching movies in bed without needing to drag out the power cord.
