5 Quick Tips for Longer Battery Charge In Mobiles

If you own a mobile phone then you’ve probably been in a situation where your mobile phone dies from a lack of battery charge. This can be rather frustrating - especially if you are in a place where you are unable to charge your battery. There are some measures you can take when using your mobile device that can help preserve your battery power.

1) Avoid Keeping the phone in Vibration Mode:v The method of notification for phone calls can use a significant amount of battery power. This is mainly true for when you set your mobile phone to vibrate. Vibrating will use more power than just having the phone ring. An even larger battery drain is when your phone is set to both vibrate and ring. If you are using this setting, go for the ring-only option as it will use less battery power.

2) Avoid enabling multiple apps in the background:

Another serious battery drain is when you are using multiple apps at one time. Maybe times even though you are not using a particular app, you didn’t close it when you finished. Therefore, it is running in the background sucking power from your battery.

Some hot batteries: APPLE A1185 Battery, COMPAQ Presario C700 Battery, Dell Inspiron 1525 Battery and more.

3) Disable Push to Notification Apps:

Many apps issue what are known as push notifications. These messages instantly tell you if you have new messages, tweets, etc. While they might be helpful, they do use a significant amount of your battery’s power. See if you wait and just check your information manually. If so, then turning off push notifications would be a good move towards your goal of battery preservation.

4) Don't Let the Battery Die - Charge Frequently:

In order to make your battery last longer, do not allow it to die between charging. It is best to charge your phone more frequently. By charging it more often for shorter time frames, you are actually increasing the life of the lithium-ion battery used in the phone. Always charge your phone before it dies.

Aussie Battery is definitely your best choice of apple battery supplier in ! Higher Quality, Lower Prices, Wholesale & Retail!

5) Use of Black Background:

It is recommended that using a black screen on AMOLED screens consumes less battery charge. Using a black theme is highly recommended in that case. Set a black background in the browser settings as well.

HTC One X battery life tests prove fruitful

We’ve been writing a lot about the HTC One X as this flagship smartphone for HTC has impressed a lot of people. Famed for its Tegra 3 quad-core processor (Snapdragon S4 dual-core for the US), one of the main concerns about this phone was whether the battery life would live up to expectations. News today tells how HTC One X battery tests have proved fruitful, which probably means even more people will rush to get their hands on it. The HTC One X is packed with decent specs but the downfall of many otherwise excellent smartphones lately has been their battery performances. As we are increasing data use with our phones and are now seeing cutting-edge specs such as quad-core processors, high-resolution displays, improved cameras and the latest software many of us have found that our phones cannot get through an average day’s use without the smart phone battery draining. Motorola recently addressed this issue by taking one of its successful handsets, the Motorola Droid Razr, and bumping it up with a larger battery to become the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. So how has HTC done battery-wise with the HTC One X? It seems the manufacturer has actually done very well indeed. Engadget tells how HTC is applauding itself following testing on the HTC One X. The company has issued a blog post pointing out that people who have tested it have had praise for the htc battery life. Its own tests took place on the international version with quad-core processor rather than the dual-core AT&T variant for the US and seemed to show glowing results. HTC explains that the HTC One X shows a 147% performance increase in talk time over one of its previous handsets, the HTC Sensation. It also shows a 39% increase in video playback time compared to the Sensation, a 105% improvement in MP3 playtime and a 23% increase in Web browsing time. Anandtech (who carried out independent third-party testing) was apparently impressed with the battery life of both of the HTC One X variants but Engadget tells how although they were satisfied with the dual-core HTC One X (even with LTE enabled), they were less satisfied with the global version. Some hot batteries: CANON FS100 Battery, JVC BN-VF707U Battery, JVC BN-VF808 Battery and more, brand new with 1 year warranty. It does appear though that HTC has been taking consumer concerns over smartphone battery performance seriously and the company points out that its engineering teams have spent thousands of working hours on the Battery Stamina Boost Project for the HTC One series of phones. It seems as though there’s yet another aspect worth recommending about the HTC One X then and so far we’ve heard very few complaints about this device, which is still to see a US release. What are your thoughts on the HTC One X and its battery performance? Do you already have the international version and if so, how have you found the battery life? Maybe you’re waiting for the us variant and news of these battery tests has made up your mind that this is the right phone for you? Let us know with your comments.

How to increase Battery life of your android device

The battery life of android phones and tablets are experienced to be too low compared to devices running  on other operating systems such as Symbian and windows. The reason behind this difference is not only hardware but the way the OS runs in your device. There are certain tips to increase the battery life up to a good extent.

1. Exit Unwanted apps

If you hide applications it will be running in back ground and so taking a portion of the processor and hence the battery life. So when ever a running application is not wanted exit it or 'back' from it.

2. Use an application killer

You can use an application killer to completely exit the applications and hence saving a lot of battery life and reduce the wastage of RAM.

3. Turn of frequent mail alerts

Applications providing frequent mail alerts will access internet connectivity to get its information updated. This will use a lot of battery. So avoid using these applications if its not a must.

4. Turn off Wi Fi

If Wi Fi is turned on it will frequently search for available Wi Fi spots and this will consume the charge. So turn off Wi Fi whenever its not needed.

5. Use 2G mode

If internet access is not needed put the network mode in 2G. Using 3G or Dual mode will kill the battery charge.

6.Turn off weather updates

Try to avoid using applications such as weather updates. Use it to a minimum if its a must.

7. Display Brightness

Use display brightness according to the need. Use minimum brightness and get more power back up.

How to Increase Laptop's Battery Life

Modern operating systems, games and other software applications tend to use more and more of the battery life of your laptop. Here are some tips using which you can increase laptop's battery life.

1. The laptop screen consumes significant amount of power. Adjust the brightness of the display - most of us don't need the maximum level of brightness! You can change it in Control Panel -> Display -> Adjust Brightness.

2. There are a number of power schemes in your OS. You should choose the optimum power scheme for your laptop. You can manage the power scheme in Control Panel -> Power Options. Here you can also customize the plan by setting the time to dim the display, turn-off the display and put the computer to sleep.

3. Try to avoid frequent discharge of the laptop battery. Ideally you should not let it fall down below 40% level and recharge it before it does.

Some hot batteries: TOSHIBA PA3817U-1BRS Battery, SONY VGP-BPS13/S Battery, IBM 40Y6799 Battery, Brand New with 1 Year Warrant!

4. If your laptop battery is Nickel based, you should avoid keeping it fully charged at high temperatures. For example, if you are going to keep your laptop in a hot car, make sure that the battery is not fully charged.

5. Always use right laptop adapter to charge your laptop battery. If the adapter is not proper, the voltage level may not be proper and hence it can spoil the battery life.

6. Bluetooth and WiFi also use significant amount of power. Hence, it is recommended that you switch them off when you are not using them.

7. Regularly defragment your hard drive. It will put less strain on your hard drive and hence on the laptop battery.

8. Stop running unnecessary processes in background. You can monitor all processes by pressing 'Ctrl-Alt-Del' -> Start Task Manager -> Processes tab. Here you can check and kill the unnecessary programs.

5 Android Battery tips and tricks for longer battery life

If you're new to owning a smartphone the biggest thing you'll have to get used to is how often you'll have to charge your phone. Especially if you're coming from a phone that was, well, just a phone; it'll be a big change from charging your phone once every other week to once every other day. So here are some tips that can help you max at your battery life.

If you try and do all of these it may ruin your Android experience because you'll be constantly finicking with your battery; thats not what this is for. These are ALL the tips/tricks I know. Even I don't use all of them. Using just a few of these (possibly even one or two) should be enough that you notice an increase in your battery life.
1. Turn off of your radios when not using them
Radios are what connect your phone to the rest of the world. You have your general mobile connection, wifi, data/internet connection (3G), GPS, and/or 4G. Those are listed in order from least to greatest in battery consumption. If you're not using the radio turn it off. If you know you won't be online for a long time, why turn 3G data on? If you're at home, use wifi instead of 3G. If you're not using Google Maps why is your GPS on? You'd be amazed at how much battery life you can save just by turning off the radios that you aren't using. There are plenty of widgets in the market that will allow you to turn off the radios without even going through settings (Sense users have these widgets packaged in).

2. Vibrate uses more battery
Anytime your phone vibrates a lot of battery is used. This include haptic feedback. A lot of keyboards have the option to turn off haptic feedback and I would recommend it. If you're a heavy texter you'll notice very quickly how much longer your phone will last. Also, if you're in a place where you can easily hear your phone why do you need to have vibrate enabled? If you know you'll be able to hear your phone there's no reason for it to be buzzing too.

3. Don't use task killers

Crazy, right? Especially if you're on Froyo (Android 2.2) or higher, Android has it's own task killer that's actually very good. If programs are using too much memory your Android OS will kill it. A common misconception is that apps run in the background forever; this is not true. If an app is using too much memory (which links to battery life) it'll be killed by your phone. That's why if you play a game, check a message, and come back the game is still running. It's memory usage isn't that high. However if you put your phone down, walk away for an hour, and the game is still trying to run in the background, there's a good chance it will be closed before you come back. Separate task managers have to constantly be running in the background which can actually use more battery than it saves. Yes, task managers can use more battery than they save.

4. Do this shenanigans

How to keep your laptop battery alive

Here are a few simple tips on how to prolong the lifespan of ANY Lithium battery (without diving into the chemistry), whether it's your laptop battery or your cellphone battery.

Note: This article is not teaching you how to give yourself more battery life per charge, but how to maintain your battery so you don't have to replace it within the average 2-3 years replacement cycle of a Lithium battery.

1. Contrary to the common misconception of completely discharging your batteries to fix "memory effects", DO NOT DISCHARGE YOUR LAPTOP BATTERIES COMPLETELY. Doing so will wear out your battery.

2. DO NOT COMPLETELY CHARGE YOUR BATTERY. Just the opposite of tip 1, charging your batteries completely also wears it out.

If you usually use your laptop on only battery, it is best to charge the battery to the range of 85-90% of its maximum capacity and then unplug your battery. That way you can have decent battery life, while prolonging the lifespan of your laptop battery. If you don't think you'll be taking your laptop on-the-go anytime soon, charge your battery to about 40-50% of its maximum capacity and unplug your battery from your laptop. Keep the battery in moderate room temperatures.

Cell Phone Battery Tips and Care

If it is treated properly, the cell phone battery to achieve maximum performance and have a long life. A cell phone battery needs but in many cases by improper handling and care, he loses power. But it must also be other conditions created so that a cell phone battery can develop its full power.
Correlations of stand-by time
The storage of electricity in batteries have limits. With the newest generation (eg UMTS or LTE ), it is possible compared to older phones with ever smaller batteries a higher stand-by time to achieve. The duration of the achievable standby time of several parameters is dependent on the SIM card and use the cellular network . This means the reversal of that in the worst case, even the most advanced technology is useless, if not agree that the other conditions. The greatest influence on stand-by time takes the technology of the phone card, as these are the interface to the wireless network is. Therefore, it may be just for older cards often makes sense to let this go by the network operator.
Dealing with a new battery
A new battery should be charged with the first charging process at least ten to twelve hours. Only then should the phone be put into operation. Then the battery should be discharged in full operating condition in order to fully charge them again. Unless this process is repeated three times at the beginning can, so that the duration of the battery are increased.
Saving factor of SIM card
If the phone card (SIM card) allows it, the phone in the standby mode, the supply of the card processor and into a `deep sleep ', fall into the so-called deep-sleep-mode. If this is not possible, there may be a reduction in stand-by time up to one third of the manufacturer's instructions. If it is not certain whether a SIM card supports the deep-sleep-mode, can be contacted by mobile phone providers may be helpful.
Location and network dependency
A mobile phone sends, depending on the power supply with an output of 0.02 watts and 2 watts. To ensure accessibility, the phone at regular intervals, contact one of the mobile networks and communicate the current record position. The frequency of these contacts is also dependent upon the sufficiency of the position. If the phone is in the intersection of several broadcast stations, despite good network coverage caused also an increased polling rate and thus a higher energy consumption. The activation function of the cell info `reduced 'the stand-by time, because the phone will constantly look for current information. Therefore, this service should be turned off if possible.
Stand-by time influence
If the phone displays, after about an hour charging the phone battery is full, the fast charge is terminated. But then the battery has reached only about 80 percent of its capacity, for a nearly full charge should the phone for two more hours remain connected to the charger. Overcharging is not possible because of today's electronics. (Note: If you use original equipment!)
Mobile phone battery in the summer and winter
A rechargeable battery quickly loses its force when it is stored at a temperature above 50 degrees Celsius. For example, a cell phone store in the summer in a hot car, the lifetime of the cell phone battery is significantly reduced. Also, the handset should be in the sunshine as possible kept in the shade. But the extreme cold battery may very well hurt.
Storage of an unused cell phone battery
If a battery is not used for a long time, a recommended storage at temperatures between 15 degrees and 18 degrees Celsius. During this time, the battery should be charged only half full, so that no discharge takes place, because this slows the chemical reactions between electrolyte and lithium electrode. Before the battery after a storage returned into service, he should be charged in the mobile phone completely.

Tips to use a new laptop battery

On average, a laptop battery can be charged up-to 500times before it goes dead. But in most cases, it dies within 1-2 years of extensive use.

For longevity, its important to take care of the battery right from the day of purchase.

The first step

When you purchase a laptop, fully charge its battery for 8-10 hours.
Switch-on the laptop, and run it on battery power till it completely shuts-off(thus, completely discharging the battery). It’ll ensure proper conditioning of the new battery, and help it last as long as it should.
Repeat this once in every 2-3 months. This will help in utilizing the unused charge, stored in the battery with time. Also, its a fine way of tracking battery’s performance.
Apart from this, laptop shouldn’t be continuously put on charging for long hours.

Laptop must be run on battery power, everyday for at least 15-20 minutes.

This’ll ensure that there is no redundant charge accumulation, which is fatal for a new laptop battery.
